Untitled Project: Untitled Mail Order Catalog
Untitled Project: Untitled Mail Order Catalog (2002) was a fully functional mail-order catalog that featured handmade sculptures that looked like specific consumer objects. Each carved and painted sculpture in the catalog was priced according to their original referents. Under the Untitled Projects quasi-corporate entity, everything was produced in-house and by hand—from the construction of the objects to the receiving and shipping of orders. This project was supported in part through a grant from the Creative Capital Foundation. 32 pages plus cover, 7 x 6 x 1/8inches. Features an essay "Conrad Bakker's Vernacular Consumption" written by Buzz Spector.
